El impacto del mundo digital en la vida cotidiana es indudable y el metaverso con sus mundos virtuales extendidos est\u00e1n en la mira de los ciberdelincuentes.<\/p>\n

\n

El metaverso<\/a> y sus\u00a0a estos entornos virtuales no solamente representa la oportunidad de interactuar con otros usuarios en diversas partes del mundo.<\/p>\n

Dentro de estos \u201cotros mundos\u201d incluso se podr\u00e1 tener un trabajo, ir a conciertos, comprar art\u00edculos y viajar en cuesti\u00f3n de segundos dentro del espacio digital, lo que representa tambi\u00e9n un gran negocio para las empresas y, por supuesto, un impulso econ\u00f3mico.<\/p>\n

Dentro de estos espacios, los usuarios y las marcas podr\u00e1n comprar, vender e intercambiar art\u00edculos para sus avatares, invertir en NFTs y activos digitales a trav\u00e9s de las criptomonedas que acepte cada metaverso. <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Pese a que la idea suena interesante y divertida, es recomendable que los negocios tengan la cautela suficiente al entrar de lleno al metaverso<\/strong><\/a>, que supondr\u00e1 grandes cambios a la econom\u00eda y la sociedad.<\/p>\n

La gran preocupaci\u00f3n dentro del metaverso<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Empresas como Microsoft y Meta est\u00e1n invirtiendo miles de millones de d\u00f3lares para convertirse en los pioneros de este mercado que, seg\u00fan la predicci\u00f3n de McKinsey & Company, crecer\u00e1 hasta alcanzar los 5\u00a0billones de d\u00f3lares en 2030. Sin embargo, existe una preocupaci\u00f3n muy real por las amenazas y los peligros que pueden surgir en este espacio.<\/p>\n

En Tenable realizamos el estudio \u201cM\u00e1s vale prevenir que curar: las organizaciones que se interesan por le metaverso transmiten su preocupaci\u00f3n por la seguridad, aunque entren de lleno en los mundos virtuales<\/a>\u201d con 1500 profesionales de TI, ciberseguridad y DevOps en Estados Unidos, Reino Unido y Australia para examinar c\u00f3mo las organizaciones encarar\u00e1n las oportunidades y desaf\u00edos relacionados con la protecci\u00f3n dentro del metaverso. El 23% de las organizaciones asegura que ya se aventur\u00f3 en el metaverso y el 58% planea realizar negocios en \u00e9l durante el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, menos de la mitad de los encuestados conf\u00edan en su capacidad para contener amenazas en este nuevo entorno. De acuerdo con los expertos, hay amenazas muy probables para los usuarios de esta realidad extendida. Entre las que m\u00e1s se mencionan est\u00e1n el robo de identidad de m\u00e1quinas y transacciones API (84%), ataques de phishing y malware (81%), clonaci\u00f3n de voz y caracter\u00edsticas faciales (79%) e interceptaci\u00f3n de comunicaciones privadas usando avatares \u201cinvisibles\u201d (78%).<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de las amenazas relacionadas con ciberseguridad, es importante se\u00f1alar las barreras que existen de acceso al metaverso, como la posibilidad de la existencia de brechas y robos de identidad, la inexistencia de un proceso claro relacionado con la privacidad de datos y la falta de profesionales de seguridad con experiencia para proteger el metaverso. Nueve de cada diez encuestados est\u00e1n de acuerdo en que las organizaciones primero deben desarrollar un marco de ciberseguridad adecuado antes de ofrecer servicios en dicho entorno virtual.<\/p>\n

Otro aspecto para tener en cuenta es que la mayor\u00eda de las soluciones de seguridad existentes no se crearon para aplicaciones como las del metaverso. La seguridad deber\u00e1 integrarse en todo el proceso de desarrollo para proteger de forma adecuada cada transacci\u00f3n en toda la plataforma, mediante su incorporaci\u00f3n a la capa fundamental de la aplicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En Tenable creemos que, pese a que representa una nueva y gran oportunidad para los negocios, es importante crear cimientos fuertes en ciberseguridad antes de adentrarse en el metaverso para que no sea un movimiento que ampl\u00ede la superficie de ataque de la organizaci\u00f3n. Es m\u00e1s probable que las organizaciones con visi\u00f3n de futuro se tomen el tiempo para analizar y prevenir brechas, as\u00ed como realizar inversiones inteligentes en su personal de seguridad e infraestructura que los lleven a tener \u00e9xito en el metaverso.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
