La inversi\u00f3n ayudar\u00e1 a incrementar la producci\u00f3n para satisfacer la creciente demanda de semiconductores avanzados, impulsando una nueva generaci\u00f3n de productos innovadores de Intel y atendiendo a las necesidades de los clientes de manufactura como parte de la estrategia <a href=\"https:\/\/boletin.com.mx\/industria-tic\/ceo-de-intel-anuncia-estrategia-idm-2-0-para-fortalecer-su-liderazgo\/\">IDM 2.0<\/a> de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pat Gelsinger, CEO de Intel<\/strong>, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que esta inversi\u00f3n muestra el compromiso de la compa\u00f1\u00eda por recuperar el liderazgo en la fabricaci\u00f3n de semiconductores en los Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><em>\u201cLas iniciativas de Intel ayudar\u00e1n a construir una cadena de suministro m\u00e1s resiliente y garantizar\u00e1n un acceso estable a los semiconductores avanzados en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os. Intel est\u00e1 recuperando su capacidad de liderazgo en los Estados Unidos para fortalecer a la industria mundial de semiconductores. Estas instalaciones crear\u00e1n un nuevo epicentro para la fabricaci\u00f3n avanzada de chips en el pa\u00eds que potenciar\u00e1 la cadena de producci\u00f3n de <strong>Intel<\/strong>, desde el laboratorio hasta su manufactura, y fortalecer\u00e1 el liderazgo de Ohio en investigaci\u00f3n y alta tecnolog\u00eda\u201d, subray\u00f3 Pat Gelsinger.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Agreg\u00f3 que, para respaldar el desarrollo de la nueva planta, Intel se comprometi\u00f3 a destinar 100 millones de d\u00f3lares adicionales para conformar alianzas con instituciones educativas y establecer una reserva de talento, y potenciar los programas de investigaci\u00f3n en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Impacto econ\u00f3mico extraordinario<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Al ser la mayor inversi\u00f3n por parte del sector privado en la historia de <strong>Ohio<\/strong>, se espera que la fase inicial del proyecto IDM 2.0 genere 3,000 empleos en Intel y 7,000 puestos de trabajo durante el transcurso de la construcci\u00f3n, y que apoye a decenas de miles de empleos locales adicionales a largo plazo en un amplio ecosistema de proveedores y socios.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-44817 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/boletin.com.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Intel-Ohio-fabrica.jpg\" alt=\"Intel IDM 2.0\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Con una extensi\u00f3n de casi 1,000 hect\u00e1reas en el condado de Licking, a las afueras de <strong>Columbus<\/strong>, la \u201cmega planta\u201d podr\u00e1 albergar un total de ocho f\u00e1bricas de chips as\u00ed como apoyar las operaciones y socios del ecosistema. Cuando la planta se termine de construir, la inversi\u00f3n total en las instalaciones podr\u00eda ascender hasta los 100 mil millones de d\u00f3lares a lo largo de esta d\u00e9cada, lo que la convertir\u00eda en uno de los centros de fabricaci\u00f3n de semiconductores m\u00e1s grandes del mundo.<\/p>\n<p>La planeaci\u00f3n de las dos primeras f\u00e1bricas ya est\u00e1 en proceso de ejecuci\u00f3n, y se espera que su construcci\u00f3n comience a finales de 2022. Adem\u00e1s, se espera que la producci\u00f3n se active para 2025, cuando la f\u00e1brica entregue chips con las tecnolog\u00edas de transistores m\u00e1s avanzadas del sector.
