RE100 re\u00fane alrededor de 300 de las empresas m\u00e1s influyentes con el objetivo de reducir su huella de carbono con el uso de energ\u00edas verdes.<\/em><\/h5>\n

Acer<\/a> cumpli\u00f3 durante 2021 45 a\u00f1os en la industria TI global y lo celebra comprometi\u00e9ndose con la iniciativa RE100 para alcanzando un 100% de uso de energ\u00edas renovables para 2035.<\/p>\n

Parte de las acciones de Acer abarcan apoyar los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible<\/strong> (ODS) de la ONU: energ\u00eda limpia y asequible (ODS 7), consumo y producci\u00f3n responsables (ODS 12) y acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica (ODS 13). Adem\u00e1s de representar el compromiso y la responsabilidad de consumir energ\u00edas renovables, y comunicarlo mediante su influencia de marca, la iniciativa implica incluso supervisar la cadena de suministro para lograr una transformaci\u00f3n baja en carbono.<\/p>\n

Cada a\u00f1o, los RE100 Leadership Awards<\/strong> llevados a cabo por Climate Group<\/strong> en asociaci\u00f3n con Climate Disclosure Project<\/strong>, eval\u00faan y preseleccionan a distintas empresas en un selecto grupo que cumplen con los requisitos proambientales necesarios, otorgando a los miembros la oportunidad de mostrar su liderazgo global y compromiso con el uso de energ\u00edas 100% renovables.<\/p>\n

Actualmente la iniciativa RE100<\/strong><\/a> re\u00fane alrededor de 300 de las empresas m\u00e1s influyentes del mundo en 175 mercados, las cuales tienen el objetivo en com\u00fan de reducir su huella de carbono con el uso de energ\u00edas verdes.<\/p>\n

A trav\u00e9s de un comunicado, la compa\u00f1\u00eda adopt\u00f3 desde 2008 el sistema de divulgaci\u00f3n global de CDP (Disclosure Insight Action) para gestionar los impactos ambientales de su cadena de suministro e incluso ha ampliado el sistema con la participaci\u00f3n de sus proveedores en distintos niveles. En 2012, la compa\u00f1\u00eda comenz\u00f3 a establecer objetivos de reducci\u00f3n de carbono a trav\u00e9s de la gesti\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica y el uso de energ\u00edas verdes. Por medio de esfuerzos y compromisos constantes, Grupo Acer, incluidas sus operaciones y subsidiarias globales, logr\u00f3 con \u00e9xito su objetivo para 2020 de reducir sus emisiones de carbono en un 60% en todo el mundo, con un 44% del uso de energ\u00eda renovable.<\/p>\n

A la par, Grupo Acer contin\u00faa llevando a cabo iniciativas como Proyect Humanity<\/strong> que desde 2017 ha involucrado a todos sus empleados y proveedores para que cada acci\u00f3n, proceso y desarrollo de producto tenga un enfoque basado en el reciclaje, la reducci\u00f3n y el bajo consumo de energ\u00eda. Aunado a esto, el fabricante l\u00edder en tecnolog\u00eda present\u00f3 recientemente Earthion (misi\u00f3n para ayudar a abordar los desaf\u00edos medioambientales de nuestra generaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de soluciones innovadoras e integras), basada en la preservaci\u00f3n del medio ambiente y la creaci\u00f3n de un mejor futuro para todos con base en 6 pilares clave: dise\u00f1o de producto, log\u00edstica, producci\u00f3n, dise\u00f1o de empaque, energ\u00eda y reciclaje.<\/p>\n

Kees Van Rongen, Director Comercial de Acer M\u00e9xico<\/strong><\/a>, explic\u00f3 que la compa\u00f1\u00eda contin\u00faa creando y actuando en pro del medio ambiente reinventando sus procesos de fabricaci\u00f3n con un claro enfoque en sostenibilidad.<\/p>\n
