Subestimar la infraestructura de cableado estructurado<\/a> puede ser nuestro primer y m\u00e1s grave error relacionado a temas de seguridad. Poder garantizar la transmisi\u00f3n de datos suficientes es uno de los puntos clave para tener la certeza de que nuestros sistemas de videovigilancia funcionan de manera adecuada.<\/p>\n

Muchos de los problemas que est\u00e1n involucrados dentro de la ineficiencia de la infraestructura de cableado estructurado y la afectaci\u00f3n de su vida \u00fatil, se deben a varios factores tales como, no elegir correctamente la categor\u00eda de desempe\u00f1o, el no contemplar el crecimiento que va a tener el sistema de seguridad as\u00ed como no prever el mantenimiento de la red, el no cumplimiento de la normativa internacional vigente en cuanto a ignorar las buenas pr\u00e1cticas de instalaci\u00f3n y la b\u00fasqueda de ahorro en los componentes contra calidad y durabilidad; este \u00faltimo aspecto nos lleva a una realidad del mercado actual en cuanto a la sensibilidad del precio y es all\u00ed donde algunos integradores y usuarios finales buscan reducci\u00f3n de costos en las implementaciones y una de las formas es utilizar cables muy econ\u00f3micos con conductores de aluminio revestidos de cobre que se conocen como CCA<\/strong> (Copper Clad Aluminum).<\/p>\n

El aluminio tiene una resistencia mec\u00e1nica y el\u00e9ctrica menor que el cobre, por lo que estos cables tienden a romperse y tener fisuras con mayor facilidad, adem\u00e1s tienen menor tolerancia a las curvaturas.\u00a0 Por otro lado, las conexiones de terminaci\u00f3n sobre el conector RJ45 tanto en el \u00e1rea de trabajo como en los patch panels, presentar\u00e1n oxidaci\u00f3n del aluminio reduciendo la resistencia del conductor y, por ende, presentando malas conexiones, que producir\u00e1n problemas de Next, atenuaci\u00f3n y p\u00e9rdidas por retorno (RL).<\/p>\n

De acuerdo con lo anterior, si por ejemplo, se instala un sistema de CCTV y se utiliza un cable de aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio, se puede evidenciar, que en m\u00e1s del 90% de los casos, las im\u00e1genes transmitidas y almacenadas, no son las esperadas, generalmente con baja resoluci\u00f3n y poca nitidez; estas caracter\u00edsticas tienden a empeorar en cuanto las distancias de los enlaces son mayores, otro factor importante a tener en cuenta en las instalaciones que usan este tipo de cables, es que a lo largo del tiempo tienden a empeorar la calidad de la transmisi\u00f3n llegando incluso a la p\u00e9rdida total de la conectividad.<\/p>\n

Por otro lado, debemos tomar en cuenta que el cableado estructurado es un esfuerzo que conlleva bastantes recursos y no es sencillo de implementar. Ya sea para un sistema de seguridad en un edificio comercial o residencial, la inversi\u00f3n en log\u00edstica y materiales no es algo que pueda tomarse a la ligera, se deben contemplar las distancias que se extender\u00e1 el cableado, el tipo de conexiones con equipos activos, la gesti\u00f3n en cuartos de telecomunicaciones y espacios abiertos, la cantidad de c\u00e1maras, sensores o equipos a implementar, entre otros aspectos.<\/p>\n

Probablemente el software sea cambiado unas seis veces y el hardware en tres ocasiones, antes que se haga un cambio en la infraestructura f\u00edsica por lo cual su implementaci\u00f3n o actualizaci\u00f3n debe contemplar este aspecto, ya que el cableado estructurado representa entre el 7% y el 10% de toda la inversi\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica implementada y es el responsable de aproximadamente el 75% de todas las fallas tecnol\u00f3gicas que se presenten en la red a lo largo de los a\u00f1os que dure su ciclo de vida \u00fatil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
